Head south of Uvita to find the quieter entrances to Marino Ballena National Park. These coastal sections feature tide pools, sea turtles, and rocky shorelines.
The Ballena and Piñuela sectors offer a calmer alternative to the main Uvita entrance. You pay the standard $6 USD entrance fee (plus tax) by credit or debit card. Your ticket is valid for all four park sectors on the same day.
These southern areas protect critical nesting habitats for sea turtles. Bring a reusable water bottle and leave single-use plastics behind. Plastics are strictly banned inside the national park.
